High School Level - $500

The Omaha Legal Professionals Association awards a $500.00 scholarship to the first-place winner selected from qualified high school applicants.  Please feel free to photocopy as many application forms as your students need.

2018/2019 OLPA's $1,000 College Level Application

The Omaha Legal Professionals Association (OLPA) is a chapter of the statewide Nebraska Legal Professionals Association (NLPA).  Its members share a common interest in promoting continuing professionalism in the legal field. OLPA annually awards two scholarships to qualified applicants pursuing studies of a legal nature, enrolled full-time in a paralegal, legal secretarial, criminal justice, or any law-related undergraduate program.

Deadline:  Postmarked on or before March 17, 2018


Each scholarship is awarded on the basis of:

·         Scholastic achievement (a grade point average of 2.5 or above)

·         Involvement in school and/or community

·         The intention to pursue a career in the legal field

·         Applicant’s Personal Statement stating why he/she wishes to pursue an education in a legal field.


The 2018-2019 OLPA scholarship(s) will be awarded at the Omaha Legal Professional Association’s Annual Banquet on April 18, 2018.

Our state chapter Nebraska Legal Professionals Association (NLPA) also offers an annual scholarship and does not distinguish between high school and college applicants. The awards at the state level are $1,250 for the first-place recipient and $750 for the second-place recipient.
